- Why does the AI mode download 39 MB?
- That 39 MB is the neural network itself — it has to live on your device for your photos to stay private. It downloads once, your browser caches it, and every photo after that is colorized with no further downloads.
- Can I colorize multiple photos at once?
- Yes. Add several files and use “Download all” to apply the same color style, quality and size settings to every photo in one batch.
- Which image formats are supported?
- You can open JPG, PNG, WebP and most other browser-supported image formats, and export to JPEG, WebP or PNG with an adjustable quality and size slider.
- Will colorizing reduce my photo's quality?

Colorize Photo is a single-purpose tool for adding color to black and white pictures. Instead of sending your photos to a server, it runs a neural colorization network directly in your browser via WebAssembly, backed by hand-tuned tonal palettes and a color brush for manual touch-ups — so an old family portrait, a scanned film frame or any grayscale image gets natural-looking color in seconds, entirely on your device.

Everything happens locally in your browser. Files never leave your device — there are no uploads, no storage and no tracking of your images.
